Klobasneke and Kolache ..Texan Delights
Though name sounds strange they are simple Czech soft buns with meat fillings or pastry like jam etc .
Famous in Texas due to influx of Czech immigrants in 18th century who introduced their country dish into American cuisine so much do its another trademark dish in the great American global meltpot .
Today I ate some Klobasnek pieces of chicken ,egg ,beef ones.
The buns were truly soft with a slightly sweet taste the chicken fill was bit spicy too .
Traditionally Klobasneks are filled with sausages a sort of hot dog .
Kolache purists frown at the Klobasnek modifications in Texas .
Big franchises like Kolache factory and Republic Kolache satisfy the pangs for this Texan delicacy .
