HOUSTON Museum of fine arts

A convenient Metro station Museum district which is just six stations from Station opposite my daughters apartment the

Astrodome or NRG stadium .
Incidentally this stadium was where
PM Modi came for the Howdy Modi event a few years back .
On alighting the metro i just needed to walk around 300 meters crossing road .
The place was beautiful with neat trees lining both sides of road broad sidewalks and manicured gardens .
A couple of lovely churches too was there St Paul's and Presbyterian with gentle Gothic towers .
A walk to other side of metro station southbound was the famous Hermann park and the Natural. Sciences museum which was a must visit but on another day .
Most museums are free on Thursdays if not they cost around 20 to 30 $ for a ticket .
Some are free on Sunday evenings while Houston zoo is free once a month .
The zoo too is close to Hermann park .
One moved into the Medical city south of Hermann park with many famous hospitals seen there .
The museum of Fine arts was housed in a spacious buildings in two floors .
The ground floor has lot of sculptures and also a huge American section of paintings sculptures and furniture
while the first level has period painting collections from 15th century
Antique Egyptian collectibles Japanese European art .
Every piece is well described and good rest areas and seats for resting with free WIFI is available .
