DALLAS in Texas

We went to Dallas in Texas state in October 2021 from Houston just for a day ,we went to see the Dallas state fair which has been an annual fair from 1886 ,

Reaching in evening we checked into our spacious hotel and then left for the fair ,returned late night and next day we drove back to Houston ,so did not see the city much

Dallas is one of the three biggest cities in Texas ,others being Houston and san Antonio the capital is Austin which today is becoming very popular as a second Silicon valley .

Dallas like most of Texas was part of Spain later Mexico and then taken over as United states territory .

Today its a major city in the US a junction of many interstate highways and railways and a great trading center with universities Hospitals and Business center ,it has several parks museum and a vibrant down town .It has one of the most busiest airports in the world .

In 1963 John F Kennedy was assassinated here .

The state Texas fair was in one corner of the big city ,after checking in to our lovely hotel we reached the fair after a good drive it was pretty cold too ,the fair was full of eating joints ,we had a turkey steamed leg which was delicious and I had some craft beer with it ,later we walked through the many stalls and reached the huge open air stadium where by dusk there was an Elvis Presley look alike band doing a concert ,it was very entertaining indeed and i could shake some leg too ,after eating chocolate covered apples we returned to out hotel and next day left after a fitful breakfast
