Al Ain Garden city of UAE

It was the Vision of his highness Sheikh Zayed to have made AlAin his birthplace a city truly bestowed with the bounties of nature .

Today Al Ain is one of the most beautiful cities in the world filled with broad roads wide neat pavements ,aesthetic roundabouts and plenty of trees and filled with flowers .

One has to be amazed at the maintenance of this city with its extreme climates and no praise would be enough to the founding fathers and its rulers for creating a virtual paradise in a desert .

Al Ain means the eye in Arabic and it has been an oasis city for ages .

The authorities do not allow high rises here , to maintain its pristine relationship with nature and hence it is no concrete jungle , but at the same time ,it is behind no city in all modern amenities .

Iam proud and lucky to be a resident of this lovely place which to me will always be my second home .

The recent Al Ain flower show at Paradise Al Ain which got the coveted Guiness world record for maximum number of flowers in pots in any one place was a visual delight and this post is a pictorial on it .

Anna Hazare and his fight

India has earned the notoriety of being one of the most corrupt countries in the world .

As it celebrates its cricket world cup victory and its cricket heroes wallow in thier prize monies its ICC chief Sharad Pawar has agreed to step down from the select committee entitled to draft the Lok Pal bill in the parliament because he is tainted for corruption himself !

This is the misfortune of our country .

We have a democracy for the politicians (and bureacrats ) run by the politicians and to the politicians and them alone .

The thief is also given the key !

how convinient

Havent we all seen many scandals over the years

Havent we all read about many committees joint or otherwise

dont we all know about the many retired judges who have been resuscitated from rusting into oblivion by heading these comittees

how many volumes of thier reports are lying gathering dust in Government offices all over the country .

After the intial hustle and din most of the corrupt politicans get away scot free and reincarnate to thier old positions .

Many stand for elections even from jails which they win obviously by muscle and money and proclaim that the people have absolved them of any sins and continue to pilfer the nation more bravely .

Democracy the Indian kind my dear friend !

One fine example or is it poor example is the one seen in Kerala ,

The great literate state where every enlightened politically aware intelectuallistic subject dons his best washed and ironed cloth and with coiffured hair styles goes to vote on the D dayof every election without fail.

The old are carried the crippled and blind come with thier supports for the great elections are not to be missed

Only thing the malayaleee lacks is the power to reason ,

very convinient for the Malayalee politician

Like sheep most Kerala voters dictated by either thier religious or casteist compulsions on thier voting patterns ,many succumb to the sweet talks of thier leaders tainted or otherwise and follow them like rats behind the pied piper howling slogans ,

for them the party and its leaders are beyond any misdemanour

They fail to realise that old ideologies are dead and gone ,social changes have taken place and honest leaders are a rarity these days .

With two fronts coming to power in turns with no alternative in site The Kerala brand ploitician is smug with satisfaction

scandals ,scams ,being chummy with antinationals or dallying with call girls makes no difffernces for the voter

nothing can turn away thier beloved malayalee from continuing to support them and the third poor alternative is also a mess and has no life in Kerala

They havent shined in other states too except probably in Gujurat so not an alternative to think of in the far future .

Tamilnadu at least has the excuse of not being so literate and the masses doggedly follow thier leaders who offer them freebies like TV ,rice ,sarees and what not

The ignoromuses never realise it is thier money that is being used to buy these ! and the percentages go to the donors !

But at least Tamilnadu leaders manage to do lot of development work while they swindle

one should see the industries and excellent roads unlike in Kerala which depends on the oxygen of tourism and NRI incomes .

With even the army being tainted these days ,and the judiciary coming under a cloud what does the citizen do when he hears of his country being raped and plundered by these ghastly souls who calls themselves politicans ?

should one turn violent toting a gun and go on a rampage as in the movies

hardly the thing to do as in reality one would just disappear from the scene either to the jail or to the world beyond life

Should one join active politics as suggested often by politicians

no way

one would be nothing without muscle or money support in any election and no one can think his good intentions alone would get him or her into the elite circle that rules this country .

why is it that the Suresh Kalmadis Rajas,Mayawatis ,and Sharad Pawars continue to exist in spite of thier obvious guilt ?

it is because no one amongst thier political circles would dare to allow them to be indicted for they are hardly alone in the game ,while crores are being pocketed by the corrupt crores also go to fill the party coffers ,this is needed to finance thier election campaigns ,thier luxury lifestyles ,helicopter jaunts ,to pay for thier party underlings howling thier slogans to do thier biddings ,thier musclemen needed to kill or maim thier opponents their goondahs, bodygaurds chamchas or to pay the media to hear thier voices and spike other voices .

Every big party needs trillions for all this and no bucket or mug collection would suffice !

This is why the Rajas and Kalmadis are smug in thier attitudes they know none would dare to point thier fingers at them nor would anyone allow them to be the scapegoats unless some previous arrangements with adequate compensations made for the great feat of saving thier party honours made

The racket is huge and stinking

the cancer is overgrown and entwined into the fabric of the nations

the kalmadis and Rajas are only the symptoms

They are just the overflows

the slurry flowing out of the overfilled sewers .

Where do we turn now ?

Probabaly to Anna Hazre and his fight for the Lokpal bill

a beacon of light in this darkness .

He calls for the particiaption of the unelected and non executive in drafting the bill so that it has some teeth

The government nay the whole political establishment is opposed to this as it is thier livelihood at stake

We have seen the politicians always protect thier intrests with enthusiasm

havent you seen how pay rises for the elected are passed with no arguments

The Jantar Mantar happenings are the first whiff of a nation getting awake ,the youth are angry the people who want this country to come up are furious frustrated and want a change they want a check on these wretcheds who have been pilfering the nation as no enemy ever has

they have been swindling our crores and depositing it in foriegn banks for years ,it has been declared that Indian depositors have the biggest balances in swiss banks

the Banks were ready to reveal the nmaes of its depositors when asked but no one wanted to ask !

Isnt it high time we get away from these gang of thieves and give them what they deserve

The Anna Agitation is slowly and steadily getting stronger with the youth behind it ,every true Indian should be behind it I feel ,for this will make a small difference in our future

nay maybe a big differnce

My Tsunami

The recent devastating earthquake and Tsunami of Japan which caused so much destruction took me back to 1999 when Orissa reeled with the Supercyclone .
yours truly was there just days before that and experienced an early pinch of it
of course I wasnt there during the supercyclone itself ,if so I wouldnt be writing this and would have been long forgotten by now !
We had gone for a holiday to Orissa that October with our two small children .
We went to the Sun temple Konark the Chilka lake and finally and came to Puri the temple city .
It was nice weather balmy and windy cool and calm the beach was inviting with its vast sandy stretch .We went to the Sterling Time Share resort which was our place of stay for many of our sojourns .

On the said day we left in the resort four wheeler to the Puri Jaganath temple in the afternoon .
The sun was shining and all was well .
We entered the cavernous temple and stepped into a bygone era ,the pilgrims priests and people all belonged to the past .

Time had never caught up with the temple and its precints .
We saw priests scurrying with bins of cooked rice offerings held between two poles thier sweating bodies glistening in the hot sun .
The dark interiors gave us a glimpse of the past and we prayed to lord Jganath and walked into the outer compound ,it was strangely becoming cloudy and a bit windy with a mild rain whispering in its entry .
Slowly it grew in intensity and the heavy drops fell on the stoned grounds hitting it with great force .
We sheltered under an awning ,soon it rained heavily and within minutes water was gushing out of the stone steps of the massive structure and then it petered down to a mild drizzle and we walked out into a colourful market ,
we even did some shopping I rememeber because by then the rains had left and the place had a clean swept look and it was cool and nice .
We took a rickshaw back to the shack on the beach facing the sea which was our destinated meeting place with the Sterling vehicle to take us back .
Suddenly things were a bit different .
We saw an angry sea churning huge waves onto the shore hitting the small cafeteria shack with such force that it rattled .
We huddled inside the shack and there was this exited but petrified look on the faces of other tourists when one gets the uncanny feling that soemething is going to go wrong shortly .
and it did go wrong I tell you .
The wind grew in strength and the doors slammed shut with great force it became dark and forboding and like in a horror movie the lights blinked out at the most inoppurtune moment !
We were worried that we may miss the four wheeler waiting for us and I opted to go out and stand so thatI could see it and then get the wife and children into it .
I stepped out into a literal holacust as the winds whipped into me by so much force I was almost pushed againt the door of the shack which I had closed .
I struggled to cross the small lane like road which I crossed in a second that afternoon and it was like climbing the Everest with the wind pushing me back ,I managed to cross over with superhuman strength and stood under shop sign .
The huge billboard opposite me was dangling dangerously and I watched with others sheltering there with dread as it fell down like a pebble thrown from the sky the blasting noise of the fall drove daggers of fear into my heart as I was torn between going back to my family or standing there exposed to the might of the brewing storm .
I was also worried over the shack as waves were lapping on its walls and its shaky foundations were trembling ,my loved ones were trapped inside that but the only hope of getting away from this place was the van which I would never see from inside
I prayed to Lord Jaganath with the despair of the stricken and soon enough he answered as I saw the now familiar small four wheeler rattling through the rain
I shouted and gesticulated and the driver saw me and beckoned me to come quickly
I gave signs that the others including my family were inside the shack ,so he managed to come out and we both muddled our way back to the shack opening the door and howling for all the Sterling people to come quickly
In the exodus that followed I managed to grab my son and carry him dragging my daughter and wife and we crossed the door and somehow got into the four wheeler ,one other couple and one man from sterling too got in but there were others asking for a lift now and we could ill afford to take them as we were already full .
The others were mostly locals who sidled away when they saw we could not fit anymore ,the four wheeler stuttered as its engines failed to start .
we huddled wet and frightened the children scared but silent and prayed .
Finally it did start and we managed to get into the sandy road .
The road leading to the sterling resort in Puri was right on the sandy beach very nice when things are calm and collected but a night mare now .
Our vehicle rattled like a toy the waters lapping at our tyres at times we almost sunk into the sand as the driver zigzagged his way .
Suddenly he stopped and cut off the engine near a small house on the beach for a full ten minutes there was deadly silence as we all wondered what had happened .
Finally we questionsed the driver who became strangely evasive in his replies and just kept starting the engine and idling it and not driving ,the wind grew in strength and the rain was heavy and the world was dark and forbidding
Suddenly a man ran from the house into the vehicle and got in near the driver .
We then knew that all along he was waiting for this man at the risk of all our lives
We were furious and I remember shouting at him in all languages I knew ,expect the ones he knew !
He was silent and non commited almost ignoring all of us as we were at his mercy .
This was strange behaviour for someone from Sterling noted for its politeness to its customers ,the driver and van was probably hired from the local area .
We trundled along and all of us fell quite again thanking God for small mercies .
On the way there was a car sunk in the sand and a man was howling to help him and his family in the car ,the driver went and talked for some time in Oriya as the car passengers were locals finally he attempted to start pushing the car again ignoring all of us it seems the car owner wanted help to extricate his car and not to join us .
were even laughing once in a while looking at us in the vehicle ,
We really grew wild as things were turning nasty while these idiots were playing the fiddle ,
We shouted at the driver and threatened him with dire consequences and even warning him we could get him jailed for his stupidity and arrogance as one of the tourists said he was from the police department .
This bluff and some choice Hindi curses finally shook him up and he came quitely and we moved off again into the dark ,zigzagging our way through the beach .
After what seemed ages when threatening waves almost inundated us and the sun nearly burying us with rains slashing at us with such intensity far away we saw the welcome lights of Sterling resorts buring in its generator lit glow as by now there was no more elctricity and we reached there .
we managed to come out helped by the staff with beach umbrelleas wet and bedraggled .
We had no strength to report on the driver and his misdemanours and postponed it for the morrow satisfying ourself with some eiteths and strong glares at him .
we were led into our cottage and we hit the bed after towelling ourselves and changing our clothes the manager instructed us not to open the door s or windows and comforted us telling that the cottages were strong and would hold the wind .We were given candles matches and a as the generator would be put off shortly as one did not know how long the strom would last .
The whole night we could not sleep as the wind made strange noises hititng on the glass panes with such an intenisty .
Luckily the children slept through all of it as they were tired .
Dawn and light saw us looking out to a desolate world full of wrecked boats fallen billboards blown buildings sidled vehicles and wallowing water .
The Sterling staff were brave and courteous bringing us hot food and comforting us
There were no mobiles then and the phone line was all cut we would learn later that we had been thorugh a cateogry four storm a precursor of the category six and more supercyclone which came after a week or so .
A category four cyclone has winds of intensity 30 to 50 km per hour
Our parents living in Kerala reading about this in the papers were worried and panicky about our safety and had no ways of knowing about us .
By evening it became calm again and the next day we rushed back to Bhauvaneswar .
Our return journey was all messed up as trains were cancelled and delayed .
The railway station looked like a Bangladeshi refugee camp and we knew we had to spend at least one or two days in the city to get into a train
we luckily found a good hotel in the city which took credit cards ( those days credit card were accepted only in some places specially in places like Orissa ) and we were worried about spending our cash as we never knew how long we would have to stay there .
Finally we did get a berth and returned back in unharmed tired but happy
And then it struck the most devastating cyclone to strike India in the recent past and making lakhs homeless and thousands killed

As we read in the papers and saw the images in the TV we knew we would never have survived this like we did the smaller one .
It shook us that day that we humans are after all nothing in the face of nature and its furies .
Thus ends the story of our cyclone experience

Neerkoli Ammini

Rain made Parappanangadi a green magical world Its incessant drumbeat , constant gushing of water, surreal croaking of frogs ,humming of insects and fluttering of moths marked it
arrows of sharp rain from the dark skies would hit the bluish green water of the brimming pond
lightening flashes would give momentary glimpses of a watery world which would l...
ater meld into the darkness It during one of those rainy days did the story unfold in my ancestral house Thekkepat kovillakkam

There were two female cooking assistants to Nambiar our big cook ,one was Ammini the plumpier one and the other Unnuli
none of Amminis fleshier moments distracted Nambiar from his personal passion which was to cook delicious food for the house

My grandmother Karthiyayani amma was a no nonsense person and all were mortally afraid of her except Nambiar ,who was too old to be afraid of anyone , both conferred and conspired to create exotic menus to feed the hungry inmates

Non vegetarian food was rarely cooked there

flesh was only to be cooked only in the outer shed and brought to the northern dining hall to be eaten it was difficult

this needed running with hot dishes by Ammini with an umbrella more for protecting the dishes from being diluted rather than creating a wet Ammini

a seductive wet Ammini for us adolescents was more appetizing than the dishes

,wet firewood was another problem in rain

Ammini had to fetch dry ones from the loft a little away from the house with be a piece of cloth over her head as even Ammini could not carry firewood as well as an umbrella .

One day in the loft , some slithering thing had bitten her

" Pampu Pampu ( snake, snake ) she shouted and ran into the house

Flushed and breathless she swooned .

Nambiar yelled "get her to kumaran vaidyan quickly,

Ammini was laid into a makeshift stretcher of a wooden bench and carried to Kumaran vaidyan the local snake bite expert .

we all tropped along

was it the end of our dear Ammini ? we were sad !

The procession grew in size as it meandered along

news spread like wild fire and rumours of Ammini dead was on

a wet and anxious village reached the Vaidyans house

Ammini was popular amongst all for various reasons

Vaidyan spat his betel leaf

"ivide kedathu " ( make her lie here )

He opened her eyes with a finger and checked her pulse .

cleaned her right wrist

" onnum parayan pattila 24 manikur kaziyadhe "( nothing can be told till it is 24 hours ) he declared
suddenly the crowd parted as Kunjan the local idiot had come with a snake in his hand

He had gone to the firewood shed and found the wriggling specimen which with the dare of the innocent had caught it with his bare hands

He was now showing it off like a trophy .

The vaidyan quickly took it from him looked at it and then started laughing .

" ithu neerkoliya " this is a watersnake and threw it into the nearby pond ,

someone threw some water on Amminis face and she woke up with a start

thus was born the legend of Neerkoli Ammini or watersnake Ammini

The Kite Runner

The Kite runner is the first book by Khaleid Hossieni a physician settled in the U.S.
Khaleid is an Afghan by birth and has written about his home country in both of his books the second one being the thousand splendid suns ,

though I have not read both the books I happened to see the movie the kite Runner yesterday and was moved and absorbed by it .
I would rate it as one of the best movies I had seen .

'The story begins of friends Amir and Hassan who spend a happy childhood in Afghangistan
kites soar in the sky just like thier joyous lives ,
happiness being cut off when evil in the form of Assef the bully ridicules Hassans lowly Hazara ( an emigrant central Asian race ) status to Aamirs aristocracy and mocks at thier friendship but Hassan is strong and will never wilt in his loyalty to his friend even at the cost of insult to his body and soul as Asef with his friends does the unthinkable during one inoppurtune moment .
Aamir wallows in guilt becuase though he witnessed the act hiding he does nothing to protect his friend becuse of his cowardice .

The friends drift apart after this more so by the machinations of Aamir as he could no more face Hassan due to his guilt
Aamirs father who loves Hassan as much as his son is dismayed .at the turn of events
In time the Russians invade the country Aamir and his father flee Afghangistan to Pakistan and later to San Fransico where they lead an existence hardly befitting thier aristocratic Afghan life ,
time passes and Aamir graduates and becomes a writer ,courts and finally marries an Afghan generals daughter
his father by now has succumbed to the ravages of lung cancer
Aamir publishes his first book ,
He hears from his fathers old friend Asim Khan who has always been his well wisher and confidante more than his father .
Khan is now in Pakistan and Aamir goes to meet him as requested ,
here he hears that Hassan his old friend was really his half brother begetted by his father as Hassans father and mother were servants in Aaamirs fathers house
Hassan had got married and had a son called Sohrab both Hassan and his wife were killed by the cruel Taliban who now ruled Afghangistan ,
A letter from Hassan written before he died is handed over to Aamir by Khan which asks Aamir his old friend to save Sohrab who was now living in an Afghan orphanage
Aamir immediately travels to Afghangistan incognito with the help of a driver and is shocked by the rape of his beloved country He is like a tourist in his own home
he finds out the orphanage but learns that Sohrab has been taken away by a cruel Taliban official who uses young boys for his perversions
He finds out that the high official is none other than the bully Asef the bete noir of his youth .
the rest of the story is how Aamir manages to release Sohrab from the clutches of Asef and his Taliban strangehold and brings him to the US with great difficulty to bring him up as his son as he has no children of his own
Sohrab takes long to come out of his shell opening up finally when when Aamir once takes him for kite flying
Aamir tells sohrab he would anything for him a thosand times over just like Hassan used to say to Aamir in his childhood .
The film has absorbing visuals depicting the beauty of the country and its seasons ,the rumbustiousness of its markets the colourfullness of its inhabitants ,the innocence of its young the sophisticated veneer of its aristocracy which all contrasts with the cruelty of its vandals .
The physical rape in the film is metaphorical to the rape of the country itself and finally the overcoming of guilt of the protaganist by his atonation ends the film
truly worthy of the book .

The Kite runner soars into the sky and takes you along for the ride
see it .

The Loongi Collections

Lungi is a piece of garment worn around the waist by south Indians mostly Malyalees ,Bangladeshis and also Sri Lankans and some Malays wear Lungi but it is synonymous with Mallu attire

Taking off on this we did a Lungi fashion show in our Indian Medical Association cultural night recently in Kochin

this was created and choreographed by our president Dr Sushil Daniel some of us doctors modelled in the Lungi collection groomed by Christian D Flungi our vetran in house designer

here goes .....

Pala appachachan collection : Palai is a small south Kerala town dotted with rubber plantations owned by rich nazranis ( christian planters who historically claim to hail from Nazareth )

Appachan means pappa or father and the planters genrally have this tag to thier name for example verghese appachan can be vakkachan !thomas appachan can be thomachan
these fellows are genrally know for thier merrymaking scotch guzzling wears spotless white mundus a form of lungis with pearly white vests thick gold chains and spectacles and look classy
our Palai appachan was Dr Sreedhar Kumar

Macho collection : in every place one finds men who love thier bodies and develop them with tender care ,mostly when not at work one can find them in the local Gym straining thier sinews to breaking point or gazing lovingly at thier reflections while softly feeling thier bulges oh no I meant muscles

our IMA Macho Dr Prasan was obviously the right choice for the Macho collection .

The Rajni collection :Rajnikanth the superstar of Tollywood is another name for style and charisma the man even walks in his own style and the internet is full of Rajnidoms these days so what if he is really a balding down to earth guynext door in real life everyone loves him

the Rajni collection was done by yours truly

Mohanlal collection : Mohanlal the podgy superstar of Malluland has oodles of talent his tower of pisa stance jumping gait and trademark grin makes him the dahling of mallus all over
Dr Sajith made a wonderful choice for the Mohanlal collection

NRI collection :NRIs are as famous as coconuts in Kerala for these are two sure sources of income for malluland and the NRI often goes around flashing his wealth to all and sundry
( iam talking of the typical kind gulp returned ) our NRI was Dr Ajay Kumar whose half mast lungi tennis jogging shoes and gesticulations for a wild evening from a beringed finger caused great guffaws with the song Ooty pattanam in the background

Goonda collection : Kochin Haneefa is dead and gone but one can never forget his special act of the local dada with a wide belt holding his lungi from doom and a rusted knife to flash around this goonda collection was by Mr Kamath who brought him live .

The Thilakam style :Thilakam is one popular malaylam movie where Dileep enacts a slightly crazy young man who is fond of pulling lungis from unsuspecting men publicly our Dr Pradeep did a thilakam in style as he pulled the vest off machoman who ran for cover

Thank God he remembered to wear something below that day

kottodi collection : was the last ,the local drunk with his bottle of toddy beedi stump and foul mouth

Dr Tommy could do this better than anyone as he came like he was sozzled to his gills feebly trying to light a beedi in vain

and finally the ramp was dazzled by D flungi himself

Mr Thomas our engineer colleague who gave his large warm self to troop all the lungis into a grand finale dance in the ramp

thus ended the lungi collection

All of us really had a ball !

Magic Wand

Amavassai is a Tamil word for new moon or black moon .
Usually somebody is named that as a pun the person being dark skinned .
Iam going to tell about an Ammavasai this story incidentally is a true one .
Our Ammavasai was a seven year old beggar who was also a rag picker ,an orphan he drifted into Kannur and once while picking a rubbish bin found a steel vessel .
Like any other child would he broke it open with a stone but it blasted on him taking an eye and maiming his hands for it was a country bomb .
The next days newspapers were full of an orphan Ammavasai lying in the local government hospital .
Iam now going to tell you about Saigramam a centre near Attingal 30 km off Trivandrum city the capital of Kerala .
I went there yesterday as my work in Trivandrum ended earlier than expected and my friend wanted to go there .
Saigramam is situated in natural surroundings full of rubber trees hillocks and ponds ,it has lovely cottages with white ducks walking around ,there was a beutifulk white horse too donated by someone .
Saigramam had been functioning for years quitely doing it charitable work guided by the principles of Sri Sathya Sai Baba .
It ran a Gurukulam model school for tots upto fourth standard who continued thier education later in a local school ,this was for the children nearby and also for the orphans stayting in the ashram .
It had some mentally challenged children ,some abandoned elders ,and orphans too staying there and looked after with great love and affection
We had thier simple fare with them in the dining cottage ,anyone who came there could partake food from there .
So coming back to our story when the gramam authorities heard of the abandoned and injured Amavasai they brought him here and he too became on of its inmates .
They changed his name to Poornachandran which means full moon as they gave more meaning to his life
over the years Poornachandran imibed the best of education and lifestyle values included in the Sai curriculum .
He was talented in singing and once when Dasettan the singing icon of Kerala and other celebrities visited the Gramam and heard him singing they advised the authorities that he should be taught music formally as he had an inborn talent for it .
so Poornachandran learnt music and now is in his second degree course music in Swathi Thirunal music college in Trivandrum .
Thus This is the story of hown An Ammavasi turned into a Poornachandran just by the swish of a magic wand of Sai .

Fat Chances

Stefan Hanna, a Centre Party councillor from the town of Uppsala,Sweden demands a 'fat tax' in his blog, upsetting both the public and his party .
He argued overweight people place higher demands on public than those who stay trim and should thus pay a greater share of the costs,
Swedish newspaper The Local reported. "If it costs more to live unhealthily the collective society doesn't say no! The society says do as you want, but if you elect to live unwisely then you have to pay extra so that we can fund any additional costs that you will cost society, if you get older,"
However, his readers weren't amused.

Call it the Calorie tax or the Fat Tax whatever you will .

Yours truly being firmly classified under the Fat people if not overtly obese ( people who dont focus on my middle bulges even dare to call me reasonably trim ! )
I too was not amused of this .

One knows todays beautiful people need to have that skinny hungry gawky look to make it into page three
Thier schedules are full of sweating out thier hard earned calories in the gym or dancing to aerobics and looking at the other side at the sight of good food ,it sure doesnt come easy .

Fat people have all the fun in the world ,to them eating is a passion they indulge in but it shows up in the wrong places !
why should fat people pay for thier lard ?
Arent they paying by consuming more and buying goods for that,
Imagine what happens when only the models in fashion show populate this whole world
All the chefs would have to retire ,all the gol poppas ,bhelpuri stalls ,tikka chiken haunts and shawarma shelters would close with a bang, what would happen to those juicy kababs of Karims not to mention the ghee dosas of MTR Bengaluru and those lovely dripping evil rasogollas of amchi kolkata
all juicy steaks rare or well made would go uneaten and what pray would Macdonald do with his burgers
The models would throw it away with disgust and turn to thier dry salads

The world wouldnt be a very intresting place to be in .
Food after all brings humour with it ,no not the looking at fat people type of humour
According to my observation plumpier men and women definitely have more fun in them than the scrawnier ones ,hunger drives most of fun elements .
So why tax fat poeple they may be heavy but they lighten the surroundings for this they should be provided with a tax concession .
Our Swedish minister also goes on to say that those who defraud the state fat or thin should be made to wear hyena suits and made to stand outside shopping malls ,
wow I like that bit

Imagine our suresh Kalmadi of the commonwealth games fame ,
our A Raja of the 2 G scam and our former Maharasthra state Chief minister of the Adarsh scam dressed as the three monkeys and standing outside a Delhi mall
Nice feel right ?
Or even imagine a day comes when our descison makers plan to make Kasab earn his living with washing the jail toilets for 20 hours of the day till he gets sentenced which could be his lifetime
well here is someone who should be taxed for all his biriyanis
